Summary
John Deere develops technology and solutions to address global challenges in food, fiber, and infrastructure. The Software Engineer will participate in Agile software development, collaborate across teams to align requirements and dependencies, and establish software development best practices involving test automation and continuous delivery.
Responsibilities
- Engage in Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives and hackathons
- Collaborate with other teams to help drive alignment and understanding of requirements and dependencies
- Establish a culture of software crafting best practices including Test Automation, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment
Skills
- Experience working on a team developing software leveraging Agile delivery methodologies
- Experience with Test Driven Development and/or Acceptance Test Driven Development
- Experience with Continuous Integration and build pipeline deployment automation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with JavaScript, React.js, or Node.js in building web-client or server-side applications/services
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud
- Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Experience working with cross functional teams
- Embedded development experience
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Technology related discipline
