Summary
Johnson Controls is a global leader in thermal management, mission-critical building systems, energy efficiency, and decarbonization. The company is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support new product development, product enhancements, and sustaining engineering initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver precise, high-quality products. The role involves mechanical design, drawing and bill of material preparation, manufacturing alignment, and project risk management.
Responsibilities
- Proficient knowledge of 3D design software (CREO) and general knowledge of 3d Design Intent Concepts
- Continually monitor design project to identify potential risk and adjusts when/where necessary
- Possesses a high level of mechanical design understanding, demonstrated through tool-based tasks such as:
- System or large assembly layouts
- Sheet Metal construction and DFM
- Drawing Creation and Drawing Best Practices
- PDM System related file management processes
- Ability to work with ambiguity regarding design specifications; researching and communicating with various departments to resolve gaps in scope
- Demonstrates proficient knowle
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and develop designs that are well aligned with manufacturing capabilities
- Demonstrates proficient knowledge of design procedures such as retrieving and apply information from engineering standards and schematics, purchasing and manufacturing specifications for preparation, release and revision of drawings and Bills of Material
Skills
- Only US citizens and/or permanent residents of the US will be considered for this role

- US Citizen and/or Permanent Resident of the United States
