Installation Technician

Summary

Knight Watch, Inc. is Michigan’s fastest-growing security integration and building automation company. They are seeking an Installation Technician to install, troubleshoot, and support integrated systems that enhance building safety and efficiency for healthcare, education, and industrial organizations.

Responsibilities

• Install and support access control, video surveillance, fire alarm systems, and other integrated systems
• Read blueprints and electrical drawings to support project work
• Work with technicians and project teams to troubleshoot equipment and resolve issues
• Maintain accurate documentation of materials, labor hours, and project activity
• Provide professional customer service and explain system functions clearly when needed
• Review project documentation and complete mobile task reporting
• Communicate clearly with customers, technicians, project managers, and internal teams
• Strengthen technical knowledge through training, certifications, and product research

Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent, with a commitment to continued learning and professional growth
• Valid driver's license and a safe, dependable driving record
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds as part of hands-on installation work
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working in confined spaces when needed
• Familiarity with power tools and electronics, with a commitment to strengthening technical skills
• Comfort using Microsoft Office applications and mobile technology to stay organized and connected
• Strong drive to build skills, solve hands-on challenges, and keep improving
• Positive attitude and commitment to professional growth
