Job description
Summary
Ladders is seeking a Blockchain Security Engineer to join a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will drive meaningful impact by executing strategic priorities and partnering cross-functionally to scale performance in a high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform secure design reviews, threat modeling, and code reviews for upcoming features
- Identify the top product risk areas and spearhead risk-reduction initiatives with cross-functional teams
- Enhance and automate existing security processes using agentic/AI tooling
- Develop monitoring solutions to maintain risk at acceptable levels for the company
- Join the team on-call rotation, providing engineering support through design consultations and vulnerability analyses
- Publish articles and give presentations on vulnerabilities, incident findings, and integration risks
Skills
- Strong understanding of blockchains, especially EVM chains, and a proactive crypto mindset
- Expertise in blockchain technology and foundational security principles
- Over 2 years of experience in threat modeling and design reviews
- Excellent communication skills to simplify technical security concepts for a broad audience
- Demonstrated high ownership and the ability to work independently to resolve challenges
- Experience with AI/agentic tools, including Claude Code or GPT Codex
- Ability to effectively integrate generative AI tools into workflows for improved efficiency
Qualifications
Must Haves
- Strong understanding of blockchains, especially EVM chains, and a proactive crypto mindset

- Over 2 years of experience in threat modeling and design reviews
- Excellent communication skills to simplify technical security concepts for a broad audience
