Summary
Lalo designs and produces thoughtfully designed, safe, and functional baby and toddler products for modern families. The Financial Analyst supports data-driven business decisions by developing financial models, analyzing business performance, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and product initiatives. The role also prepares actionable financial insights and materials for leadership and investors.
Responsibilities
- Building and maintaining financial models
- Performing variance and trend analyses
- Preparing regular reports on revenue, expenses, and key performance metrics
- Partnering with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting
- Analyzing the financial impact of new products and initiatives
- Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
- Assist in preparing materials for leadership reviews and investors
- Ensuring that financial insights are clear, accurate, and actionable
Skills
- Strong skills in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools) and comfort working with large data sets
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and key performance indicators
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights, visualizations, and presentations for non-financial stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Relevant professional certifications are a plus
- Experience in consumer products, e-commerce, or a growth-stage company is beneficial, along with an interest in the baby and toddler products space
