Summary
Lands' End is seeking a Financial Analyst II to support business operations through financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, and decision support. The role partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams on budgeting, financial modeling, process improvement, and strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, maintain, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting
- Analyze financial performance, variances, trends, and key business drivers
- Create dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate financial results and operational performance
- Support month-end close activities, including variance analysis, accrual support, and commentary preparation
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses to support business and leadership requests
- Partner with business leaders to develop and maintain departmental budgets and forecasts
- Own portions of the monthly forecast process and recommend updates based on changing business conditions
- Consolidate financial information and provide meaningful insights to support planning activities
- Monitor budget performance and proactively identify opportunities and risks
- Support annual budget preparation and long-range planning activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners to evaluate business initiatives, investments, and operational performance
- Develop financial models to support decision making, scenario planning, and cost-benefit analysis
- Provide recommendations based on financial analysis and business trends
- Assist leaders in understanding financial results and implications of business decisions
- Support strategic projects by evaluating financial impacts and risks
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, forecasting accuracy, and financial efficiency
- Assist in the development and enhancement of dashboards, reporting tools, and financial systems
- Support continuous improvement efforts across Finance, Accounting, and business operations
- Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency across financial reporting platforms
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Operations, IT, and other business teams to gather information and support decision making
- Build strong working relationships across the organization to improve financial transparency and business performance
- May provide guidance and knowledge sharing to entry-level analysts and new team members
Skills
- 2-4 years in a related financial analyst role
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business
- Demonstrated financial experience including budgeting, forecasting, planning, analysis, and building financial models
- Demonstrated strong financial analysis skills
- Self-motivated team player with strong ability work autonomously
- Good organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills; comfortable communicating with and helping to influence various levels of management
- Excellent drive for results and complex problems solving skills coupled with the ability to build strong working relationships
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Advanced Excel skills (including: Subtotaling, Filtering, Data Sort, LookUp Tables, Pivot Tables, Charting) and other MS office applications; ability to model business requirements and prepare "what-if" analysis
Qualifications
Must Haves
- 2-4 years in a related financial analyst role

Benefits
- This role is eligible to be performed remotely; however, if you reside within 60 miles of Lands’ End’s office in Dodgeville, WI or New York City, you will be expected to collaborate onsite in a hybrid fashion for up to 12 days per month.
