Job description

Summary

Latacora develops, grows, and maintains information security practices for tech-forward companies through specialized teams and practical security expertise. The Security Program Manager will plan, execute, and deliver technical security initiatives, coordinate client engagements and cross-functional teams, manage risks and dependencies, and improve processes that increase delivery efficiency and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Own project planning and successful outcomes for client engagements by driving security initiatives from discovery through implementation, using strong project management practices to establish scope, schedules, ownership, decision points, and success criteria
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and internal teams, connecting executive priorities, technical work, and day-to-day execution
  • Partner with Security Architects and technical team members to translate technical requirements, client priorities, and security best practices into actionable project plans, roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables
  • Own the tactical rhythm of client engagements by prioritizing tasks, coordinating day-to-day execution, and keeping work moving across engineering, management, and client stakeholders
  • Manage cross-functional dependencies, risks, blockers, and escalation paths; proactively surface issues, coordinate remediation plans, and ensure the right stakeholders are engaged when decisions or intervention are needed
  • Facilitate recurring client and internal project touch points, including status meetings, quarterly roadmap reviews, planning conversations, stand-ups, and other operating cadences appropriate to the engagement
  • Track and communicate engagement status, health, KPIs, risks, and next steps clearly to clients, internal stakeholders and internal leadership
  • Collaborate with technical leads to align project priorities with team capacity, client needs, and engagement goals
  • Anticipate and strategically schedule future client work and business needs by staying informed, maintaining project documentation, anticipating compliance requirements, and communicating proactively with clients and internal teams
  • Drive department-level and cross-team process improvements that strengthen internal collaboration and increase delivery velocity, efficiency, visibility, and consistency

Skills

  • This role is remote, but a substantial portion of our team is in US time zones, so you'll need to have significant overlap with US working hours
  • That said, we're happy to hire anywhere in the US and can hire in other countries as well
  • Project Management experience in a technical environment, working directly alongside engineering, security, and/or infrastructure teams
  • Foundational technical fluency - comfortable understanding or navigating conversations around security concepts, such as but not limited to: cloud infrastructure (AWS), databases (SQL), SIEM platforms, and/or application security concepts
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Relevant program management, or engineering management experience; this need not be directly related to cybersecurity
  • Proficient in project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Notion, Slack, etc.) with strong experience in task scheduling, tracking, and status reporting
  • Ability to assess client relationship health and proactively escalate risks that may impact long-term engagement, with clear context and recommended next steps
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias toward action
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and concurrent work streams with cross-functional dependencies
  • Because a substantial portion of our team and clients is in US time zones, you'll need consistent overlap with US working hours
  • We can hire anywhere in the United States and in a number of other countries
  • Whether you're authorized to work in the United States
  • Your current state of residence
  • If outside the U.S., the country you'd be working from
