Technical Service Representative I

Summary

LATICRETE International is a family-owned company that has been a leader in high-performance tile and stone installation systems for over 65 years. They are seeking a Technical Service Representative I who will provide technical service to architects, contractors, and distributors, ensuring proper material selection and addressing customer service issues. The role involves drafting specifications, preparing technical documents, and conducting seminars for construction professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to architects, contractors, and distributors to advise on proper material selection for specific applications
• Review of architectural blueprints, details, and specifications to advise on proper material selection for specific applications
• Draft specifications and details for architects, engineers, contractors, and distributors
• Preparation of technical documents / literature for architects, engineers, contractors and distributors
• Conduct seminars for architects, distributors, contractors and other construction professionals
• Investigate/settle customer service & product complaints diplomatically & professionally within authorized limits
• Handle input/requests from sales/field personnel and update job file system
• Identify and forward leads to sales department
• Maintain professional conduct
• Other duties as directed by Supervisor

Skills

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in construction industry
• Fluency in 2nd language preferred
• Physical strength to lift and carry minimum of 50 pounds frequently
• Knowledge of architecture and construction practices and materials
• Technical communication and presentation abilities (some of which is on short notice)
• Computer Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
• Intermediate knowledge of and functional proficiency in ERP and CRM systems; Oracle EnterpriseOne and SalesForce1 CRM system preferred
• Team Cooperation - maintain positive, cooperative attitude with all employees of LATICRETE and all customers
• High School Diploma; Degree preferred
