Summary
Law Offices of Robert S. Gitmeid & Assoc. PLLC is a consumer protection law firm representing consumers facing harassment or deception by creditors and debt collectors. The firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney in Miami to manage a diversified caseload, draft legal documents, conduct legal research, communicate with clients and opposing parties, and handle consumer protection litigation and transactional matters.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and supervising a heavy & diversified caseload of the Firm’s clients in Florida
- Communicating with clients regarding their respective matters
- Drafting pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, reviewing & drafting agreements, etc
- Communicating with opposing parties to resolve/settle claims
- Legal research related to simple and complex issues in contract law and other areas of consumer law
- While this role is based from home, you may be required to travel for in court appearances
Skills
- The ideal candidate is one who has experience drafting legal documents such as pleadings and legal memoranda, has strong organizational skills, and is willing to take on a heavy workload
- Candidates should be within commutable distance or currently located in Miami, FL to be considered for this role
- Must be currently admitted to practice law in **Florida**
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience at a law firm
- Must possess superior organizational & time-management skills to meet strict deadlines
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Highest ethical standards and professional integrity
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work easily with senior management and employees at all levels throughout the organization
- Strong legal research skills -- proficiency in LexisNexis is a plus
