Job description
Summary
Lazarus AI helps organizations deploy artificial intelligence safely, reliably, and at scale, particularly in highly regulated industries. The Software Engineer will design, build, and maintain AI systems, solutions, and products, with a focus on scalable backend systems, database performance, testing, debugging, and containerized solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable and maintainable backend systems using a variety of programming languages
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate backend systems with user-facing applications
- Optimize database performance and implement data security measures
- Write clean, maintainable code that follows best practices and adheres to coding standards
- Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise
- Write unit tests and participate in code reviews to ensure the quality and reliability of our products
- Building, releasing, and maintaining containerized solutions
Skills
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- 2+ years of experience in backend development using Python or GoLang
- Experience with database design and management
- AI development experience: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker / Kubernetes
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience building and supporting continuous integration and deployment tools
Qualifications
Must Haves
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- 2+ years of experience in backend development using Python or GoLang
- Experience with database design and management
- AI development experience: Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, etc
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Nice to Haves
