Summary
Leidos is a leader in delivering innovative solutions and is seeking a Junior Integration Engineer to join their Defense Systems, Systems Integration and Test Team. The role involves developing and executing test plans for hardware projects, creating test platforms, and working closely with customers to ensure successful integration and testing of defense systems.
Responsibilities
- Developing and executing test plans for development, qualification, environmental, and acceptance phases of hardware projects
- Creating, modifying, and using Hardware-In-the-Loop (HWIL) test platforms or similar capabilities to satisfy testing requirements
- Completing requirements verification and validation documentation and reports
- Developing mechanical hardware focusing on design for integration
- Participating in design reviews of hardware and software solutions
- Performing test data analysis via data log parser, Wireshark, and/or software debug tools
- Debugging software and/or hardware with various tools
- Working directly with the customer and other support personnel on of the afore mentioned responsibilities
- The position may require working outside in all weather conditions and lifting up to 50 pounds
- The position may require minimal travel for test events (approximately 4 weeks a year)
- Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Skills
- The position requires an ABET accredited B.S. or equivalent degree in mechanical, aerospace, or electrical engineering with 4+ years of experience or 2+ years with MS degree
- Candidates must have knowledge of and experience with defense or commercial test engineering practices and processes
- Candidates must have experience developing and executing hardware or software test plans and procedures
- Candidates must have direct, hands-on experience with hardware, software, or system integration, troubleshooting and testing
- Candidate must have ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
- Three to five years of experience with test planning and execution
- Working knowledge and operation of electronic test equipment (e.g. oscilloscope, voltmeter, signal analyzer/generator)
- Working knowledge of software languages Python, C, C++, C# and or firmware languages for Xilinx or Altera devices
- Experience with Windchill (PLM), Linux, Matlab, Labview, and WireShark
- Experience preparing and presenting briefings and/or demonstrations to customers and management
- Planning and executing demonstration tests and US Gov't test ranges/facilities
