Summary

Leidos is an industry leader serving government and commercial customers, and they are seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their High Fidelity Simulation Business Area. The role involves developing innovative software solutions for naval training systems, directly impacting naval operations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop real-time software on Linux using C++ and Java
  • Dive deep into all phases of the development process
  • Use the best available tools and modern architectures

Skills

  • B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Interim Secret security clearance required for employment
  • 0+ years of C++ or Java software development
  • Strong Linux tools/library knowledge
  • Solid grasp of software engineering principles
  • Advanced degree, continuing education in computer science, or advanced math/physics background
  • Experience in cluster computing, signal processing, Kubernetes, numerical simulation, multi-threading, GPUs, data visualization, underwater acoustic modeling, and sonar systems
  • Familiarity with Agile development, Atlassian products, and DevSecOps methods/tools (Gitlab, Conan, Jenkins, Docker)
