Summary

They are seeking a Substation Civil Structural Engineer to lead and design high voltage utility projects, contributing directly to the development of bid and construction packages for substation projects.
Responsibilities
- Performing design of civil/structural components in support of the development of bid/construction packages for substation projects
- Functioning as an engineer contributing directly to projects
- Performing design calculations
- Providing detail markups
- Conducting site-visits to client substation facilities
- Occasional travel for client meetings and industry related events
- Complying with quality control and safe work practices
- Maintaining compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations
- Contributing as a member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians
Skills
- B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineer with 2 plus years of directly applicable experience
- PE License, (preferred or near completion)
- Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint & Mathcad software, required
- Experience with RISA 3-D, STAAD.Pro, FAD, SAFE, SAG10, and LPILE software, required
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and MicroStation, required
- Strong analytical and technical writing skills
- Team player with ability to communicate with clients and staff
