Summary
LexisNexis Risk Solutions provides business solutions focused on risk assessment, revenue growth, operational efficiency, and customer experience. The CPQ Business Analyst will gather and analyze business requirements for an in-house Configure, Price, Quote, and Contract platform, translate pricing logic into functional requirements, and liaise between business stakeholders and software development teams. The role also supports testing, documentation, process improvements, backlog prioritization, and ongoing system enhancements.
Responsibilities
- The role will predominately focus on gathering and analyzing working group data, identifying current processes and areas for improvement, researching best practices and documenting functional requirements for the software development team
- Partner closely with the Pricing team to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to new CPQ system
- Translate complex pricing logic into detailed functional requirements for developers
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT/software engineering teams
- Work with developers to clarify requirements, answer questions, and ensure accurate implementation
- Validate delivered functionality through testing, QA support, and SME testing
- Maintain documentation of pricing logic, workflows, and system behavior within the CPQ platform
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation, and system capabilities
- Support ongoing enhancements, defect triage, and prioritization of backlog items
- Maintain stakeholder expectations and raises appropriate issues to senior roles
- Communicates effectively with business subject matter experts and the delivery team(s)
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline or equivalent experience required
- 3–7+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst
- Experience of working in an agile environment and using recognized development methodology e.g., Agile, SCRUM, KANBAN
- Experience working with CPQ tools (custom-built or platforms like Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, etc.)
- Strong understanding of pricing strategies, discounting, or revenue management concepts
- Proven ability to translate complex business processes into technical requirements
- Experience writing functional requirements documents
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to work across business and technical teams
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- ISEB qualified Business Analyst preferred
