Summary
LiftOFF Technology is building the future of batteries with a drop-in solution that delivers double the energy density and safer performance. They are seeking a Battery R&D Intern to support their engineering team in developing battery prototypes and conducting various tasks related to battery technology.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and processing of chemicals, including waste disposal
- Support the senior engineers with cell and electrolyte preparation
- Support cell assembly and conduct electrochemical experiments
- Data collection, storing, consolidation, and visualization
- Work in compliance with safety regulations
- Support the engineering team in a variety of tasks
Skills
- Background in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or related subject
- Hands-on experience in wet labs and working with hazardous chemicals
- Familiar with chemical safety procedures
- Passionate with strong intrinsic motivation and ambition
- Fast learner who thrives in dynamic, fast-paced, and ambiguous environments
- Collaborative team player who takes ownership of their work and actively contributes to shared goals
- Experience working with glove boxes and batteries
- Experience with characterization techniques such as XRD and SEM
