Job description
Summary
Magpie Health Analytics is a company focused on providing solutions for health payers. They are seeking a Full Stack Developer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain web-based applications that meet client objectives.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain web applications using a variety of front-end and back-end technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into requirements
- Design, develop, and test new features and functionality
- Integrate web applications with other applications and data systems
- Ensure applications are scalable, secure, and maintainable
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies
Skills
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or another relevant field
- A minimum of 4 years of experience developing software and cloud-based solutions
- Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Angular, Node.js, and/or other web technologies
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and databases, including SQL
- Develop, maintain, and integrate scalable RESTful API based solutions
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Experience with building and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deploying infrastructure using services such as GitHub Actions, CloudFormation and/or Jenkins
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Experience or knowledge in healthcare analytics, including EHRs, clinical data, and health information exchange (HIE)
- Understanding of security and compliance regulations in healthcare, such as HIPAA and HITEC is preferred
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platform
