Summary
Mindex provides custom software, cloud, data, and AI solutions to help organizations solve complex business challenges. The Software Engineer will design and build cloud-native applications and reusable services using .NET, C#, and AWS, while applying AI-assisted engineering practices. The role also involves developing customer-facing features, supporting infrastructure and CI/CD, implementing observability and security, and collaborating across product and engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Apply AI-assisted engineering practices (AI DLC) across the development lifecycle, sharing effective workflows and patterns with the team
- Design and maintain APIs, background services, and reusable business logic using .NET and C#
- Build customer-facing features, including UI, Blazor apps, and .NET MAUI mobile functionality
- Develop cloud-native solutions and infrastructure as code on AWS, and support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Implement observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and investigate production issues to identify root causes
- Apply security, privacy, and least-privilege principles across application and infrastructure work
- Participate in technical design, estimation, code reviews, and incremental delivery
- Collaborate with Product, Test Engineering, Support, and CloudOps to resolve dependencies and deliver complete solutions
- Document architecture and technical decisions to support long-term maintainability

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Three or more years of software engineering experience developing and supporting production systems
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and structured practices such as the AI DLC, including evaluating AI-generated output against normal engineering standards
- Experience developing applications and services using .NET, C#, Web API, ASP.NET MVC, and RESTful APIs, including reusable services and shared business logic
- Experience building web and cross-platform applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AngularJS, Blazor, and .NET MAUI
- Working knowledge of relational database design, SQL, and performance troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, CloudFront, DynamoDB, Secrets Manager, IAM, and CloudWatch, and understanding of cloud architecture, security, and high availability
- Experience with infrastructure as code (AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar) and CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps
- Experience implementing observability (logging, metrics, tracing, alerting) and troubleshooting distributed applications and production issues
- Experience with automated testing, source control, code review, and Agile delivery in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, collaboration, and technical documentation skills
- AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus
