Accounting Associate

Summary

MoeGo provides technology solutions that help pet care businesses manage their operations, including booking, payments, and communications. The Accounting Associate will support accounts payable, state sales tax compliance, tax coordination, and the monthly close process while improving accounting processes and workflows as the company scales.

Responsibilities

• Support the accounts payable process, including vendor onboarding, invoice review, payment processing, AP reconciliation, etc
• Manage state sales tax filings and ensure filings are completed accurately and on time
• Coordinate sales tax registrations as the company expands into new jurisdictions
• Support broader tax compliance, including gathering and organizing information needed by our external CPA and tax advisors
• Assist with the monthly close process, including account reconciliations, amortization, accruals, etc
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and workflows as the company scales

Skills

• 3-6 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• At least 2 years of experience at a high-growth company
• Strong accounting background and understanding of core accounting principles
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• A self-starter who is comfortable taking ownership and working independently
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve problems in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams
• Experience working at a technology startup
• Experience with tax compliance
• Experience helping build or improve accounting processes in a rapidly scaling organization
• CPA
• Fluent in Mandarin
