Qualifications: Desired at least two (2) years in this or an engineering related field (e.g., systems engineering, software engineering, business process engineering) and have familiarity with task analyses, user interface design, and usability testing. Bachelor or Master degree, in cognitive and/or experimental psychology human factors engineering, or an engineering related field (e.g. systems engineering, software engineering, business process engineering) is desired. At least one (1) year user-centered design and testing experience.

The Level 0 Usability/Human Factors Engineer shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Familiar with each of the usability and software engineering cycle phases (analysis, design, implementation, and deployment).
  • Working under direction with users (analysts) to research for, collect and document user profiles, analysis tasks, workflows, user scenarios/performance requirements and work with product designers and process engineers developing applications.
  • Under direction conducting usability testing, designing and developing user surveys to obtain user feedback.
