Job description

Summary

Mott MacDonald is a leading engineering consultancy that seeks interns through the DoW SkillBridge program. The role focuses on supporting the delivery and management of major engineering projects while gaining hands-on experience and developing technical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, prepare, and maintain engineering data (e.g., tests, drawings)
  • Assist in preparing design documents and supporting calculations
  • Perform assignments using standard practices, techniques, and procedures
  • Support engineering activities under the guidance of senior staff
  • Produce accurate technical reports, documentation, calculations, and sketches
  • Continuously develop technical and professional skills
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Engage with clients and participate in business development activities
  • Learn Mott MacDonald systems for risk management, project controls, bidding, and more
  • Collaborate on proposal development across diverse markets
  • Apply engineering or project management expertise to lead portions of technical work, benefiting both your career and the company

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, project management, or related fields. Or be in the process of pursuing a bachelor's degree in the mentioned fields
  • Strong project management, leadership, and technical skills
  • Excellent judgment, organizational ability, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex issues
  • Skilled in preparing and interpreting detailed reports and evaluating solutions
  • Prior experience and knowledge in engineering, project management, construction or related fields is highly preferred
