Job description

Summary

Myriad Genetics is seeking a Reimbursement Specialist for its Patient Accounts function. The role resolves billing inquiries, supports account collections, reviews insurance coverage for genetic testing, reconciles accounts, documents activities, and complies with applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with patients through various communication channels including telephone, email, and live chat, while also providing support to clinicians, insurers, and the management team to facilitate prompt account collections
  • Work aged accounts, researching and reconciling credit balance accounts and processing adjustments as needed
  • Review patient insurance coverage for genetic testing
  • Document activities appropriately in process notes
  • Participate in Quality Assurance plan
  • Comply with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations

Skills

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills, with good problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent time management, organizational, communication, multitasking, and teamwork skills
  • 1+ years of experience in customer service/call center, working in medical billing, health insurance, or collections preferred
  • Insurance billing experience with working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding preferred
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
