Job description

Summary

Navon is seeking an AI Engineer to design, build, and maintain production workflow automation systems integrated with clients’ existing tools. The role involves developing the platform layer, ensuring system reliability, collaborating with advisory teams, and applying practical AI tooling to operational needs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship workflow automations against the systems clients already run: project management, accounting, email, document stores
  • Build and maintain the platform layer that hosts those automations and the operational data behind them
  • Own the reliability of what you ship. The work runs in production for operators who notice the moment it breaks
  • Work directly with the advisory team to turn operational findings into engineered systems, not the other way around
  • Keep up with what is actually useful in AI tooling so our clients do not have to

Skills

  • Strong engineering fundamentals and the judgment to know when a system is dependable enough to trust
  • Comfort across the stack: TypeScript and Node, APIs, third-party integrations, data modeling
  • Experience building LLM-backed systems, or the appetite to go deep fast
  • A bias for systems that hold up over demos that impress
  • Able to talk to a non-technical operator and leave with the real requirement
  • Exposure to construction, finance, or operations-heavy businesses
  • Workflow tooling experience (n8n or similar)
  • Next.js and modern React
