Neptune.io is a startup founded by ex-Amazon and Intel employees, focused on building a SaaS platform for auto-remediating IT monitoring alerts. The role involves developing distributed systems software and improving performance and scalability while being part of a passionate team.

Responsibilities

• Building distributed systems software
• Improving performance and scalability
• Diagnosing and debugging complex issues

Skills

• Expert software development experience in Java
• Extensive knowledge of Unix/Linux
• Familiarity with distributed data management, design/implementation tradeoffs in building high-performance, fault-tolerant distributed systems
• Education: BS/ MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Most important of all, you enjoy building a bootstrapped startup from ground-up
• Experience with AWS EC2, AWS S3, DynamoDB is a plus
