About The Role • We are working on Project Astra, which is NetApp's new offering delivering end-to-end application data lifecycle management for cloud native applications hosted on Kubernetes clusters. Astra Control Center is a self-managed on-premise software solution that enables data protection, disaster recovery, and migration for on-premise Kubernetes workloads leveraging NetApp’s industry-leading data management technology for snapshots, backups, replication, and cloning. Astra Control Center can optionally be connected to the NetApp Cloud Services for advanced monitoring and insights . • As a Software Engineer in Test on our team, you will work as part of a truly innovative, fun and growing team responsible for testing and debugging our new and existing products and services. What You Will Do • Design and develop reliable, scalable and maintainable test automation to validate complex features and end to end user scenarios using Python and possibly Golang • Drive test effort from planning and organization to execution and delivery. • Communicate and collaborate with the engineering teams to develop automation processes and plans. • Collaborate with the team to diagnose, debug and perform root¬ cause analysis of issues and defects. • Work on additional tasks and responsibilities that will contribute towards team, department and company goals.
About You You have: • A passion for delivering high quality projects • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle • Experience developing scripts leveraging Python skills. • Ability to participate in technical discussions with peers • Must be enrolled in an educational or professional program through summer 2022 or later.
You might also have: • Experience working with Golang. • Proficiency in UI testing frameworks such as Selenium. • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. • Exposure to test-gated CI/CD pipelines. • Exposure to Kubernetes principles
