Summary
NewsBreak is a Content Intelligence platform founded in 2015, recognized for its innovative approach in shaping the future content economy. They are seeking a Growth Engineer Intern to ideate, validate, and launch AI-native products, focusing on engineering growth mechanics to transform prototypes into scalable businesses.
Responsibilities
- This is a 0→1 builder position for someone who can code growth loops, instrument experiments, and drive measurable traction, not just recommend it
- Design, build, and ship technical growth mechanisms: acquisition funnels, onboarding flows, referral/viral loops, activation triggers, and monetization experiments
- Stand up lightweight analytics and experimentation infrastructure (tracking, A/B testing, cohort analysis) to measure what's working and iterate fast
- Rapidly prototype and test growth hypotheses across new AI products, then hand off winning mechanics to product teams
Skills
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field from a top-tier university. MBA a plus, not required
- Strong, hands-on coding ability (able to build and ship, not just spec) — Python/SQL/JS or similar, plus familiarity with growth/analytics tooling
- 3+ years of experience in growth engineering, software engineering, or a technical product/growth/GTM/monetization role
- Founder's mindset, builder's mentality, and strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and executive presence — able to turn experiment data into a clear recommendation for decision-makers
- Passion for innovative technologies and artificial intelligence, with a strong pulse on key trends, themes and players
