Job description

Summary

Nordic Global is a consulting firm specializing in healthcare solutions, and they are seeking a Senior Consultant for their Performance Improvement Practice. The role involves collaborating with healthcare organizations to address operational challenges through strategic initiatives, data analysis, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with PI team members to implement advisory solutions and demonstrate the value of the solution throughout the client engagement
  • Collaborate with project leadership to develop and maintain project management artifacts including but not limited to workplans, status reports, decision and risk logs
  • Create complex analytical models to drive unique solutions to complex healthcare problems
  • Develop detailed financial analysis, statistical reports, visualizations, and presentations for both internal team and client review
  • Facilitate client interviews and meetings
  • Conduct detailed analyses to identify specific opportunities for improvement, as well as implementation recommendations
  • Consistently deliver work products that are high-quality and client-ready
  • Contribute to practice knowledge capital and tool development
  • Develop and update related work plans, issue logs, status reports, and related initiative trackers
  • Review and validate conducted analyses and client deliverables before submission
  • Complete quality reviews on team member work products before delivery to client personnel, validating team member findings and observations, and corroborate team member process improvement and analytic activities
  • Mentor junior resources
  • Demonstrate and embody Nordic’s maxims

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 4+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (e.g., healthcare organization, consulting) preferably within hospital administration (e.g., finance, supply chain, HR, decision support, informatics) or revenue cycle (e.g., registration/patient access, HIM, coding, revenue integrity or billing/follow-up/denials management)
  • Strong communication skills (i.e., excellent listener, comfortable speaking to groups, able to drive client meetings)
  • Collaborative work style (e.g., able to work with business, technical and clinical resources)
  • Creativity and critical thinking in solving complex problems
  • Strong presentation development skills (e.g., translating data to information, identifying themes, storyboarding)
  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments at the same time
  • Attention to detail and able to quickly pivot assignments based on changing priorities
  • Strong expertise using Microsoft Office products
  • Preference in data sciences, finance, business, healthcare administration or related field
  • Prefer experience working with EMR (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) or ERP solutions (e.g., Oracle, Infor, Workday)
  • Demonstrated knowledge using some of the following tools: GenAI Assistants (CoPilot), Analytical (PowerBI, Tableau), Programming languages (SQL, Python)
