Summary
The North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is seeking a Data Analyst and Research Intern to assist with data analytics projects in the Auditor-Controller's Office. The role involves data mining, researching department policies, and supporting vendor compliance information tasks.
Responsibilities
- Extract; data mine using data warehouse; access the department's computerized systems, through Access, Excel and/or Word; and input general information into various systems
- Researching established department policies, researching vendor payments and assisting with miscellaneous special projects
- Assisting in data analytics projects which are part of the Enterprise Resource Planning implementation
- Supporting the Auditor-Controller’s office through detailed research of county vendor compliance information
Skills
- Currently pursuing, or have graduated within the last six months with a bachelor's or graduate degree from an accredited college or university
- Express a sincere interest in a career in the accounting division of a large governmental agency
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous office experience
