Structural Engineering Intern (Summer 2027)

Summary

OneFourTwo Design Group is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. The intern will assist with preliminary designs, communicate with project teams, review building codes, and produce construction-ready design drawings.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and other outside project team members
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients
• Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design
• Attend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineers
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal as well as construction
• Produce construction ready design drawings using Revit and coordinate with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate alignment

Skills

• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program (Graduate or Undergraduate)
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic
• Previous construction or engineering internship/co-op experience is a plus
