Summary

Openforce is a Software as a Service (SaaS) and services company that delivers an integrated cloud software suite for the independent contracting community. The QA Engineer Intern supports quality efforts by designing test plans, creating and executing test cases for web-based applications, testing SaaS solutions at scale, documenting defects, and assisting with technical support activities.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements and specifications into test plans and test cases
  • Write and execute test cases for web-based applications
  • Assist with development of formal scale and performance test plans and execute
  • Document testing results
  • Troubleshoot and document defects
  • Work closely with Software Engineering and Product Management teams to identify system requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in daily stand-ups and other meetings as necessary
  • Report on testing progress and outcomes; provide regular progress, status and performance updates to the QA Director
  • Assist with technical support functions
  • Review technical journals and relevant industry literature to stay current with changes in technology

Skills

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study or pursuing an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
  • Understanding of designing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Qualifications

Must Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study or pursuing an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
