Summary
PDT Partners is a quantitative investment manager seeking talented students for internships focused on Infrastructure Engineering. Interns will work on technically challenging projects alongside senior engineers, gaining hands-on experience and contributing to the company's culture.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with expert engineers on technically challenging projects
- Help research, implementation, and software engineering teams take their ideas from inception to production
- Face problems that don't have well-defined solutions and come up with the best possible answers
- Learn about the infrastructure needed to support a quantitative trading business
- Gain experience with multicast market data distribution
- Analyze the latency impact of network buffering
- Automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure, including compute, services, and storage
- Develop GitOps-driven configuration management for consistent global deployments at scale
- Add core components to our cloud-based Kubernetes infrastructure
Skills
- Current Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD students pursuing degrees in rigorous, highly technical fields (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering) who are eligible for full-time roles starting in 2028
- Excellent academic background from a rigorous computer science or engineering program graduating in Fall 2027 or later
- Fast-learner, intellectually curious, problem-solving approach
- Proactive with sense of urgency
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Interest in working in a world-class, professional environment
- Committed to improvement and keen to apply constructive feedback
