Summary

PIMCO is a global leader in active fixed income, seeking a Quantitative Research Analyst for their Client Solutions & Analytics team. This role involves producing innovative research, constructing investment solutions, and collaborating across various departments to analyze client portfolios.

Responsibilities

  • Publish and present research pieces on relevant market themes
  • Construct bespoke investment solutions
  • Develop platforms and applications to better analyse client portfolios
  • Collaborate with multiple parts of the firm, including Portfolio Management, Product Strategy, and Client Management
  • Involved in both internal as well as client presentations

Skills

  • At least one to three years of relevant work experience in asset management, buy-side or sell-side research, investment consulting or academia
  • Strong interest and background in quantitative disciplines
  • Formal training in empirical research, especially time series and panel data econometrics
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and presentation skills
  • PhD in finance, economics or quantitative discipline from leading university highly desirable
  • Knowledge of asset pricing, economic theory, and optimization methods preferred
  • Experience analysing large data sets preferred
  • Proficiency in programming; Python, MATLAB, C++, preferred
