Job description

Summary

PPMI, part of the Verian Group, is an independent research agency focused on solving public policy challenges. The Data Processing Analyst will support the processing and validation of survey data, producing high-quality outputs to inform public policy decisions, while also engaging in learning automation and coding techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Support the processing, validation and quality assurance of survey data across the project lifecycle
  • Produce standard deliverables: datasets, data tables, codeframes and documentation
  • Support weighting, significance testing and statistical analyses under guidance from senior analysts
  • Learn and apply Python, R and automated processing techniques to reduce manual effort
  • Use AI-assisted tools for coding, QA and documentation
  • Help develop and improve automated processing workflows alongside existing tools

Skills

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail — accurate data is the whole job
  • Experience in a data, analysis or research-related role, or a strong quantitative background (e.g. statistics, economics, data science, social science with a quantitative focus) — direct survey experience is welcome but not required
  • Good command of Excel and general data handling
  • Willingness and genuine appetite to learn Python and/or R - some exposure is a plus, but we will teach you
  • Professional working proficiency in English. Knowledge of German and/or French would be an advantage
  • Exposure to Python, R, SQL, SPSS or other statistical software
  • Familiarity with survey research or survey datasets
  • Interest in AI-assisted coding or analytical tools
