Summary
Precision BioSciences, Inc. is a clinical stage biotechnology company dedicated to improving life with its novel and proprietary ARCUS® genome editing platform. The Bioinformatics Intern will develop and optimize code to characterize gene editing outcomes, assist in the analysis of NGS assays, and summarize results for cross-functional team communication.
Responsibilities
- Develop and document reproducible code and analysis pipelines for gene editing outcome characterization and risk assessment
- Assist in the analysis of various NGS assays, including Nanopore long -read data
- Summarize results through clear visualizations and concise reports for cross-functional team communication
Skills
- Currently pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in bioinformatics, cell biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, systems biology, biochemistry, computer science, statistics or related field
- Proficiency in one of the following programming languages: Python, R, Bash
- Understanding of modern sequencing techniques, including long-read sequencing (i.e. Nanopore)
- Extensive experience with data analysis using R or python
- Experienced using git/github for version control

- Currently pursuing a Master's degree or PhD in bioinformatics, cell biology, genetics, immunology, neuroscience, systems biology, biochemistry, computer science, statistics or related field
