Job description

Summary

Principal Financial Group is a purpose-led financial services firm that provides financial tools to support customers' financial security. The Relationship Manager develops strategic relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, and third-party administrators, providing retirement plan solutions that support retention, growth, and retirement readiness.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the plan sponsor and the advisor on plan design, investments, retirement readiness, services and new opportunities
  • Plan level health reviews
  • Problem solving complex issues

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or 8 years of equivalent experience required
  • 4+ years retirement industry experience
  • Must become an associated person of Principal Securities, Inc
  • Excellent demonstrated leadership, negotiation, presentation, organizational, and problem-solving skills required, as well as superior interpersonal, analytical, and oral and written communication skills
  • Must be assertive and entrepreneurial
  • Travel required (25 - 30%), mostly day travel but there will be some overnight travel, as well
  • The below licenses are required within 5 months of employment
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7
  • FINRA Series 63
  • Life & Health
  • The territory covered by this position requires the candidate to live within the Northeast area (Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Massachusetts)
  • At this time, we're not considering applicants that need any type of immigration sponsorship (additional work authorization or permanent work authorization) now or in the future to work in the United States. This includes, but IS NOT LIMITED TO: F1-OPT, F1-CPT, H-1B, TN, L-1, J-1, etc
  • Qualified Plan knowledge strongly preferred (Defined Benefit, Defined Contribution)
  • Strong preference for fully licensed
