Staff Engineer - Entry Level

Summary

Priority Wire and Cable is currently in need of a self-starter who can quickly contribute and complement our team. The entry level Staff Engineer will assist in providing technical support, reviewing product quality, and preparing product certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing technical support to the company sales group, operation group and customers
• Assist in reviewing products quality and quality standards
• Assist in reviewing and updating products specifications
• Assist in maintaining and updating products listings/approvals from listing bodies and customers
• Participate in technical research and preparing for technical presentations
• Preparing/providing product certifications/test reports

Skills

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university majoring in Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• Has interpersonal communication and technical writing skills and be a team player
• Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines
• Prior internship or working experience in related field is preferred
• Wire & cable industry working experience is preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
