Job description

Summary

Quanta Power Solutions is a leading provider of EPC solutions in power infrastructure projects. The Mechanical Designer I supports the design and development of mechanical products, preparing engineering drawings and models while ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or Inventor
  • Assist engineers in designing mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
  • Prepare detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials (BOMs)
  • Review designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with engineering standards
  • Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and project teams
  • Maintain design documentation and engineering change records
  • Participate in design reviews and implement feedback from senior team members
  • Follow company safety, quality, and regulatory requirements

Skills

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of mechanical design experience
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, Inventor, or similar)
  • Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes
  • Basic knowledge of materials, mechanical systems, and fabrication methods
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Qualifications

Must Haves
