Job description

Summary

QuantCo is an applied AI company that builds production systems to help organizations make better decisions. The Data Science Intern will complete a substantive project connected to ongoing research and production work, applying AI/ML, statistics, econometrics, and quantitative modeling while contributing to reliable production systems under close mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Developing methods for AI-driven hypothesis generation and interpretable feature discovery from patterns learned by black-box embedding models
  • Quantifying uncertainty in multimodal pricing models
  • Building agents that turn unstructured product data into reliable signals

Skills

  • Strong foundations in mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related quantitative field
  • Experience programming in Python and working with data
  • Coursework, research, or project experience in at least one relevant area, such as machine learning, statistical modeling, econometrics, causal inference, experimental design, or software engineering
  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program
  • Research experience, whether academic or applied, is a plus
