Summary
Quest Global is an engineering services firm serving customers across multiple industries. The Supplier Quality Engineer will work remotely while traveling extensively to supplier and customer sites, monitoring supplier capability, developing recovery plans, implementing quality processes, assessing operations and materials, addressing quality issues, and analyzing quality performance data.
Responsibilities
- Work independently remotely and travel on-site to suppliers to ensure capability and capacity requirements are being met (90% Travel anticipated, will be reimbursed for travel expenses per Company guidelines)
- Coordination with suppliers to monitor and support capacity and capability improvement plans identified and completed to RAIL agenda
- Develop supplier recovery plans to increase Supplier score and reduce Supplier Quality Corrective actions
- Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements
- Conduct thorough assessments of operations, manufacturing, and materials to identify supplier constraints in production
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
- Analyze data and generate reports to track quality performance and identify areas for improvement
Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in assessments and audits in the aerospace or automotive and/or other related industries
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Strong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and tools, as well as MS Office skills
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as AS9100 and ISO 9001
- Familiar with supplier operation and supplier development assessments
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Due to nature of work US Citizenship is required
