Summary
Radiance Technologies is an employee-owned company developing innovative solutions for national security and Department of Defense missions. The Cloud Infrastructure Engineer will support a next-generation modeling and simulation framework by advancing Infrastructure as Code practices, managing Kubernetes deployments, developing Helm configurations, and ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud and on-premises infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi)
- Develop and manage Kubernetes clusters, including Helm charts for complex applications and services
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring for scalability and reliability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and implement best practices
- Ensure secure, resilient environments aligned with DoD and Zero Trust principles
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues across multiple environments
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or related field
- US citizenship and ability to obtain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting skills
- Strong containerization experience (Docker, Podman, CRI-O, or similar.)
- Scripting experience for automation and operational tasks (Ansible, Python, Bash, or similar)
- Strong hands-on experience administering and securing Kubernetes environments
- Strong hands-on experience securing and maintaining Helm charts
- Proficiency with Git and Git-based workflows
- Strong Linux/SELinux system administration background
- Experience working with system context and security context configurations
- Experience working with container sockets and understanding the related security implications
- Security+, CISSP, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist
- Familiarity with DoD security practices and hardened Linux distributions
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud service providers
