Electrical Engineer

Summary

Randstad USA is seeking an Electrical Engineer for an engineering consulting company supporting energy and industrial projects, including oil and gas, power generation, and utilities. The role focuses on designing and drafting electrical and control systems, leading industrial projects, developing technical documentation and equipment specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, field investigations, testing, and construction.

Responsibilities

• Perform CAD design and drafting duties to assist engineers in the design of electrical and control systems
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams of engineers and technicians to complete the design of large and complex industrial systems
• Lead moderate to large-sized projects and make decisions and recommendations on technical or complex issues, as experience and project assignment warrant
• Exercise judgment and initiative in interpreting policies and planning and implementing work assignments
• Work with the project team to create design documents and drawings, including one- and three-line diagrams, protection and control schematics, communications diagrams, wiring diagrams, plan views, station layout plans, sections, detail drawings, and application of mark-ups for projects
• Develop specifications for the procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment
• Perform engineering calculations, studies, detailed design, report writing, field investigations, and construction support

Skills

• BS in Electrical Engineering
• 3+ years of industrial facility design experience
