Jr to Mid-level DevOps Engineer

Summary

Red Alpha is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support a modernization effort focused on consolidating and enhancing their customer's platforms. The role involves deploying, automating, monitoring, and maintaining infrastructure and applications to ensure reliability and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain applications and infrastructure environments
• Administer Linux servers and cloud-based resources
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible
• Build and support CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments using Docker technologies
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve outages
• Manage source code and deployment processes using Git and related tools
• Provide on-call support and participate in incident response activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and operational efficiency

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited institution. Four (4) additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. A higher level degree may be substituted for years of experience
• Three (3) years of relevant experience at minimum
• Experience developing automation and utility scripts using Python
• Knowledge of Apache NiFi administration, configuration, and maintenance
• Experience with Elasticsearch deployment, maintenance, and tuning
• Ability to troubleshoot Java and Spring Boot application logs and runtime issues
• Experience configuring and supporting HAProxy load balancing solutions
• Familiarity with MongoDB administration and support

Qualifications
