Summary
Rising Edge Group is an electrical contracting company specializing in high-voltage electrical solutions for critical infrastructure. The Project Engineer assists with planning, executing, monitoring, and closing engineering projects while supporting project management, technical documentation, stakeholder coordination, procurement, quality, and safety compliance.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in developing project plans, schedules, and budgets for engineering projects
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project alignment
- Review technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with project requirements and industry standards
- Maintain all project technical documentation including plans, specifications, shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to the Project Manager
- Identify and mitigate potential risks proactively, implementing solutions as necessary
- Support the procurement process by preparing requests for proposals and supporting the evaluation of bids
- Facilitate effective communication within the project team and document all project-related decisions and changes
- Participate in site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety compliance
- Assist in preparing project documentation, including reports, presentations, and final deliverables
- Contribute to project close-out activities to ensure all requirements have been met and lessons learned are documented
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical) or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role within the construction or engineering industry
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality and safety
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
