Job description

Summary

rockITdata is a services company delivering healthcare, life sciences, and government technology solutions through innovation, automation, and data transformation. The Configuration / Data Management Analyst will maintain configuration processes, documentation, engineering artifacts, baselines, and technical records for a federal healthcare modernization initiative. The role collaborates with engineering, testing, project management, and government stakeholders to ensure project information is accurate, controlled, traceable, and audit-ready.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and manage configuration management processes supporting enterprise healthcare technology implementations
  • Maintain configuration baselines, version control, and document repositories throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate updates to engineering documentation, architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and technical artifacts
  • Track configuration changes and ensure all documentation reflects approved modifications
  • Collaborate with engineering, development, testing, and project management teams to maintain accurate technical documentation
  • Support Integrated Design Reviews (IDR), Functional Readiness Reviews (FRR), and other governance activities by preparing configuration documentation and supporting materials
  • Maintain document approval workflows and ensure configuration items are properly reviewed and released
  • Perform configuration audits to verify documentation accuracy and compliance with established standards
  • Support project governance by maintaining audit-ready documentation and configuration records
  • Recommend process improvements that strengthen configuration management, documentation quality, and operational efficiency

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience supporting configuration management, document control, technical documentation, or data management within enterprise IT environments
  • Experience managing document repositories, version control processes, and configuration baselines
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience supporting software development lifecycle (SDLC) documentation and engineering processes
  • Familiarity with configuration management principles, documentation standards, and quality assurance processes
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level 3 Public Trust clearance
  • Experience supporting VA, VHA, DHA, or other Federal healthcare organizations, health IT, telehealth, or Federal program management is preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Git, or similar collaboration and configuration management tools is preferred
