Job description

Summary

Ryan Specialty is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel to support its legal and business operations. The role negotiates and drafts agreements, provides legal advice, conducts contract and risk research, ensures compliance with market security protocols, and manages complex matters involving internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and draft agreements and amendments, and other legal documents
  • Offer accurate and timely legal advice to executives on various topics relating to agreements between Ryan entities and their trading partners
  • Ensure compliance with the Company’s market security protocols
  • Provide advice to business units on contract terms
  • Research and evaluate risk factors related to business decisions and operations
  • Apply effective risk management techniques and proactively advise on potential legal issues
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties
  • Handle complex matters involving multiple stakeholders and forces

Skills

  • Law degree with 2 years of related experience; or equivalent work experience
  • License to practice law in at least one state
