Summary
Sales Search Partners is seeking a Legal Assistant to support a busy business and commercial litigation practice in its Seacoast, New Hampshire office. The role provides administrative and case support to attorneys, including preparing legal documents, coordinating deadlines, assisting with discovery and filings, maintaining files, and communicating with clients and legal professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to attorneys handling business and commercial matters
- Open, organize, maintain, and close client files
- Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and other case materials
- Assist with discovery, exhibits, trial materials, and document organization
- Coordinate attorney calendars, deadlines, meetings, and case-related activities
- Assist with filings and maintain accurate electronic and paper files
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, courts, and other legal professionals
- Support conflict checks, engagement documentation, and client onboarding
- Assist with additional projects and administrative needs as requested
Skills
- 2+ years of legal assistant or legal support experience
- Familiarity with legal documents, discovery, deadlines, filings, and case management
- Strong organization and attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional, personable, and comfortable interacting with clients and legal professionals
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and standard office technology
- Litigation experience preferred; business or commercial litigation experience is a plus
- Experience with legal case management software such as Filevine is a plus
