Job description

Summary

Sandisk is a leading company in Flash and advanced memory technologies, dedicated to innovation in data solutions. They are seeking a New College Graduate SSD Firmware Engineer to join their firmware engineering team, focusing on the development and support of enterprise SSD firmware.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and debug C/C++ firmware for enterprise SSD controllers
  • Contribute to firmware features across EVT → DVT → LVM → MP stages
  • Work on NVMe protocol, storage command handling, and performance optimization
  • Develop and execute unit tests, system tests, and validation tools
  • Analyze firmware logs, traces, and failure data to identify root causes
  • Collaborate with hardware, validation, and system software teams
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to secure coding and quality standards
  • Support customer‑specific firmware deliverables when required

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (recent graduate)
  • Strong programming experience in C and/or C++
  • Working knowledge of data structures, operating systems, and embedded systems
  • Familiarity with Linux/Windows development environments
  • Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Internship experience in SSD firmware, embedded systems, storage, or low‑level software
  • Exposure to NVMe, NAND flash, storage protocols, or embedded RTOS
  • Experience with Python or scripting for automation and validation
  • Experience using version control systems (Git) and code review workflows
  • Experience with AI or AI driven development methodology

Must Haves
