Job description
Summary
Schmidt Associates is currently seeking Electrical Engineering Student Interns to join their team. Interns will work closely with Electrical Engineers and Project Managers to support the design and coordination of electrical systems for various projects.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with the design of lighting, power distribution, and low-voltage systems
- Supporting the preparation of electrical drawings and specifications
- Performing load calculations and assisting with equipment selections
- Updating and maintaining Building Information Modeling (BIM) documentation
Skills
- Currently enrolled in an Electrical Engineering program
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with electrical design software
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and components
