Job description
Summary
Scout AI is developing Fury, the first robotic foundation model for defense, aiming to empower U.S. forces with intelligent machines. The role involves working as a Full-Stack Software Generalist to build and ship end-to-end features across backend systems, frontend experiences, and AI-powered features in a fast-paced startup environment.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack features from concept to production
- Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs
- Develop intuitive, high-performance frontend applications
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into real user workflows
- Improve system architecture, reliability, and developer experience
- Work directly with users and stakeholders to refine product direction
- Contribute to infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and monitoring
- Help shape engineering culture, processes, and technical standards
Skills
- 2-5 years of full-stack engineering experience (startup or high-ownership environment preferred)
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or similar)
- Experience building backend systems (Node.js, Python, Go, or similar)
- Solid understanding of databases, APIs, and distributed systems
- Experience shipping production software end-to-end
- Comfortable working across unfamiliar parts of the stack
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
Qualifications
