Summary
Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance is a leading provider of life insurance and financial services. As a Data Engineering Intern, you will support data modernization efforts by helping prepare, organize, and maintain data for reporting and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Assist with building and maintaining data pipelines that move data between systems
- Help monitor data processes and report issues affecting data quality or availability
- Support data validation, testing, and documentation activities
- Work with data engineers, analysts, and business teams to understand data needs and support reporting solutions
- Assist in creating and documenting datasets, metadata, and business definitions
- Gain exposure to cloud data platforms, reporting tools, and emerging AI-related data use cases
Skills
- Pursuing a BS Undergraduate in Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, Data Science or Statistics
- Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Driven, Curious, and takes initiative to contribute beyond assigned tasks
