Job description

Summary

Spang & Company is a diversified manufacturing company specializing in precision soft magnetic components and materials. They are seeking a Technical Support Analyst to provide IT support to end-users, manage administrative tasks, and collaborate with IT team members to resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for end-user IT support
  • Deliver hardware and software assistance to PC users
  • Manage administrative tasks related to PC and network support
  • Collaborate closely with other IT team members
  • Use diagnostic and help request tracking tools
  • Provide in-person, hands-on assistance directly at the user's workstation
  • Assist PC users with everyday technical issues
  • Investigate and report hardware and software problems
  • Track support requests through a help desk ticketing system
  • Support various client platforms, including Windows workstations, voice and data networks, and mobile or remote access solutions
  • Install and upgrade PC software
  • Configure and deploy new hardware and software
  • Develop and maintain procedures for consistent end-user support
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
  • Travel to domestic locations up to 10%

Skills

  • An associate's degree in Technology, Business, or Computer Science, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a technical position with responsibilities for the support of Windows workstations, basic office software applications, and voice and data networks
  • Experience gained through internships
